LAICA adopts ecological behaviour and a sustainable commitment to our planet. Right from the product design phase, priority is given to choices that take into account a reasonable use of resources and respect for nature.
LAICA is committed to minimising the environmental impact of packaging.
The amount of product packaging has been significantly reduced. Safe and environmentally friendly materials are used.
The circular economy is a fundamental pillar for a sustainable future, in which resources are utilised and waste is minimised. LAICA’s goal is to maximise the reuse and recycling of materials, reducing environmental impact and promoting responsible management along the entire production chain.
Employees are trained to behave in an environmentally friendly manner and to reduce water and energy consumption. Business partners are chosen considering their ecological commitment.
LAICA invests in water filtration to help reduce both CO2 emissions and the amount of waste.
LAICA is ISO 14001 certified for its Environmental Management System.
Since 2024 LAICA has been reporting ESG voluntarily, issuing the Integrated Report annually in accordance with GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) standards and integrated with the new VSME (Voluntary Sustainability Reporting Standard for Non-listed SMEs), developed by EFRAG (European Financial Reporting Advisory Group).

LAICA is actively committed to the wellbeing of the communities in which it operates, contributing to the growth of the territory through initiatives linked to training, sport, inclusion and solidarity. In order to foster dialogue with the territory, LAICA has been organising the ‘Stakeholder Day’ for a few years now, a moment to discuss the company’s visions and future projects, strengthening the link with institutions, partners and the local community, with a view to sustainable development and social responsibility.
For LAICA, Human Capital is a strategic element that manifests itself through the enhancement of people, professional development and the promotion of a work environment that encourages growth, collaboration and creativity.
LAICA attaches great importance to training its workforce on sustainability issues, in order to integrate ESG principles into daily activities and strengthen internal expertise on the subject. The company has organised specific training sessions for some employees, focusing on sustainability issues, GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) principles and ESRS (European Sustainability Reporting Standards). In addition, the company provides several hundred hours of workplace safety training annually.
LAICA is ISO 45001 certified for occupational health and safety management systems.
Governance
The administrative structure of the company is structured around a multi-element board of directors. This configuration suggests a governance model in which management responsibilities are distributed among several key figures, encouraging greater specialisation and decision-making capacity. In 2022, LAICA adopted an Organisational, Management and Control Model aimed at reducing ‘organisational deficiencies’ that could lead to the Company’s liability under Leg. 231/2001, with respect to all possible risks under the relevant decree.
On 07 August 2024, LAICA obtained the highest recognition with a score of 3 stars in the Rating of Legality, a system promoted by the Competition and Market Authority (AGCM) to reward companies that adopt ethical and transparent management principles. This prestigious result testifies to LAICA’s commitment to comply with current regulations, promote responsible business practices and ensure a high level of integrity in the conduct of its business.
During 2023, the Company adopted the Whistleblowing procedure and appointed the manager of the internal channels for reporting offences pursuant to Art. 4 paragraph 2 of Legislative Decree. 24/2023
